Gail Handelmann is an artist and photographer based in Massachusetts. She studied photography at the Maryland Institute College of Art and the Maine Photographic Workshops. Her images have appeared in numerous solo and group shows at galleries in the Northeast, and reside in private, public, and corporate collections.

Her striking landscapes reflect her affinity for interesting and challenging lighting conditions. Strong compositions and bold contrasts of light and shadow create an almost theatrical air. The images are more an evocation of mood than the recording of a place.

The Print Process

The photos are captured on transparency film, which is then scanned to produce a high-resolution digital file.The prints are produced using a state-of-the-art Epson inkjet printer using Ultrachrome K3 inks on Epson archival fine art papers. This combination of materials results in outstanding longevity, outlasting other forms of color photography.

All photographs are produced in a limited edition of 50 prints. Each print is professionally matted in a white window mount using all archival materials. The front of each print is signed and numbered.

The cost of each print is $95 plus a shipping and handling fee of $30 for addresses within the United States. Please inquire about shipping costs to non-US addresses.
